Two visually impaired marry at Ntonso in the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region.The couples were dating for about two years until 1 st December, they finally ties the knot at St. Anthony Catholic Church.Peter Yaw Kwarteng who was the groom expresses his happiness in marrying his bride in the person of Mary Baidoo. “I am very happy to have met this woman besides me”, says Mr. Yaw Kwarteng.
According to the parish priest, Rev. Fr. George Owusu Bempah, this kind of marriage ceremony was the
first in his life. “this is the first time I am seeing two visually impaired marrying. I know this is first of its kind happening in this church and Ntonso” the Rev. Fr. discloses.
The Parish priest in his sermon and advice to the newly married couples, he admonished them that
marriage is being there for the other. “Marriage is like a padlock and a key. Without one, the other is
unless. Example without a padlock, what will be the use of the key?”
Surprisingly, there were 2 married couples who were visually impaired who to supports their friends in the person of Mr and Mrs Kwarteng.
