ZONGO CHIEFS POSTPONED SALLAH DAY CELEBRATION AS THE GA TRADITIONAL COUNCIL PLACED A BAN ON DRUMMING IN THE CAPITAL
The event to honour sallah festivities in the capital is under the auspices of the Greater Accra Zongo chiefs
The GA Traditional Council has canceled an event that will see the celebration festivities during and after end of Ramadan in the capital , The Zongo chiefs have declared their commitment to assist in upholding the customs and traditions of the GA State,
The ceremony was initially scheduled for June 6, 2019, but a statement by the Member of Greater Accra Zongo Chiefs (GZC) Waziri Sanusi Ali Ahmed said it has been “postponed indefinitely.”
The development was due to “ honoring their customs celebration within the capital . He said in the statement that Zongo's should be patient over the Postponement
But a new date was communicated upon talking to Waziri ,” he continued.
Due to the ban on drumming and noise making, the chiefs had a meeting and decided we shift our celebration to 16th June instead of 6th June..stay tune for details .
